Make Videos More Interactive with Zaption

Last Updated: Nov 13, 2015 11:48AM EST

Zaption is an online tool for creating video-based quizzes that allows you to display questions for students to answer as they watch a video.

To create a quiz with Zaption you start by creating a tour from your account. A tour is a combination of videos, images, and text arranged into a sequence. To add a video to a tour you can search and select videos withinZaption.  Zaption pulls videos from YouTube, Vimeo, PBS, and National Geographic. After choosing a video, start watching it, then pause it when you want to add a question. You can add questions in the form of multiple choice, open response, or check boxes. When students watch the video they will see your questions appear in the context in which you set them.

The free version of Zaption allows you to create 6 interactive elements within a video and view student responses from your Zaption account.  There does not appear to be a limit on the number of students when using the free version.
